The Performer's Mastery
I have been involved with the Mastery Workshop and community since doing the weekend myself in 1991. The work of the Mastery weekend is to get actors past what blocks them in the rendering of their craft. Over the two decades that this workshop has been in existence we have discovered that the process works at helping people from all walks of life, and all parts of the industry to achieve the same results. I have been co-facilitating the Performer's Mastery since June 2003. For more information about the workshop, you can go to www.themasteryworkshops.com. If you are interested in more information about the Mastery in a one on one setting you can e-mail me at henry@henryjmah.com and we can set up a time to meet for a coffee and a conversation. I look forward to hearing from people interested in finding out more about what the workshop is about, and I would be happy to speak with anyone about the Mastery.
We offer the workshop three times a year. We already have dates set for 2008, they are listed below. If you are interested in finding out more about the Mastery or just registering, feel free to contact me at henry@henryjmah.com.
March 28, 29, 30 2008 (completed) July 11, 12, 13 2008 (completed) October 24, 25, 26 2008 (now taking registrations)
A $100 non refundable deposit is required to hold a spot. Early Bird Discounts are available.
The Performer's Review Mastery
Also, for past Performer's graduates we are offering a Review Mastery once a year in the fall. Our next workshop is scheduled for September 25, 26, 27 2009 which will be co-facilitated by Larry Gilman. For more information or to register for this workshop you can contact me at henry@henryjmah.com or Rob Bruner at robbruner@shaw.ca for details.
The criteria for the workshop are as follows:
- you have to have done your Mastery at least one year prior (October grads the previous year are excepted from this stipulation)
- you have to be a performer or in the medium of performance in some way, as we will ask you to bring a headshot and a resume
- you must prepare two monologues 2 - 3 minutes in length each (one of which will be handled like an audition) and one song 3 minutes in length to be performed during the weekend
A $100 dollar non refundable deposit will hold you a seat in this workshop, and there is one early payment discount available for this program, which is usually the end of August.
