This page contains the community events I am involved in and that I promote. I do my best to attend them as much as I can, at the very least I promote them to others in the acting community and in the community at large.
THE COLD READING SERIES is Vancouver's original live script reading event. It was founded in 1993 by Kathleen Duborg and Angus Fraser. It runs every summer starting the first Thursday evening in June and continues until the last Thursday evening of August. Between September and May they will sometimes sponsor special events and readings. Click on the website link above for more information.
The Annual ReelFast 48 Hour Film Festival held every year in August is Vancouver's premiere independent filmmaking challenge. This event is open to teams up to 10 people who will write, shoot and edit a film of 10 minutes (or less) in 48 hours using an "Inspiration Package".
Produced by Paul Armstrong, this event happens about once a month and features many locally made short films and movie trailers. Hosted by Ken Hegan, the evening promises to be entertaining and fun. Click on the link above for more information about upcoming shows.
